The Jennings Creek wildfire has burned roughly 5,201 acres, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) said 12% has yet to be contained. The New York Air National Guard continued bucket drops on the wildfire on Saturday.

Six of Ravena Fire Department's firefighters returned to their station after three days of fighting wildfires in Orange County. New York State Fire Mobilization and Mutual Aid Activation sent the firefighters after a request for assistance.

The Grafton Trailblazers Snowmobile Club, Black River Raiders Snowmobile Club, and Grafton Lakes State Park held a New York State youth snowmobile safety course on Saturday. NYS-certified volunteer instructor Jim Blessing taught the class at the Grafton VFW/Fire Hall on South Road from 8:15 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.
